How to reduce power on a car?
I know this is an unusual question. So let me explain. I am going to buy a VW GTI, but the "downside" is that it is heavily modified to produce 600 hp. I am only 17, and this will be my second car. I don't want all the power yet, and was wondering if there was any way to remove some of the power temporarily, and then put the parts back when i get more experience with the speed and power. The major parts are a custom turbo, front mount intercooler, C2 software, and a swapped AWD drivetrain. The most hp i have handled is my dad's porsche GT2, but I know that this gti will be so much more powerful. Thanks to anyone who helps me out..
Hey Bubba. I have a copy of the dyno sheets from 6 different runs. It produces 611 to the wheels. And to those who tell me to not speed. It isn't speeding I'm worried about, it's the spinning out and traction problems.
You can take it to any shop & he should un-install these modifications, or you can be easy on your self & have more control & dont drive fast.
